What You don't Know aboutThe Travel Coffee Mug

The travel coffee mug is something with which most of us are conscious of. What we are trying to do is to provide an additional point of view to what is known about the travel coffee mug. We knew that much misunderstanding prevailed in the field of the travel coffee mug and that is why we decided to write this editorial. The most important reason of this piece of writing is to do away with all of these confusions from the minds of our readers.

I’m a big fan of pretty much any beverage with caffeine in it, especially coffee and tea. Unfortunately, I don’t have a lot of time to sit around drinking coffee and tea all day as I find myself on the go a lot. Drinking coffee, tea, or any other hot beverage while driving is something of a dangerous art form, and is best done with a good travel coffee mug.

Those flimsy little paper cups you get from coffee shops just don’t hold up to the way I drive, and are very prone to spills. Not to mention they don’t contain heat nearly as well as even the most basic travel coffee mug. I’ve actually burned myself slightly a number of times just trying to pick up a paper cup off coffee, and so I generally avoid them if I can even if I have time to sit around and enjoy my beverage.

Reading this article on the travel coffee mug must have helped you to verify your belief whether you know everything that needs to be known about the travel coffee mug. And we can presume what your answer may be.

I’ve been using different travel coffee mugs for years now, and have started something of a collection. Maybe it’s a little unusually, but travel coffee mugs are as good a thing to collect as anything else I suppose. Most of the travel coffee mugs I’ve had have been pretty flimsy and poorly made. It seems that generally the best looking ones are the least functional, while the uglier ones work the best.

As an example, Starbucks has been making their own travel coffee mugs for some time with various designs and artwork on them. At one time they had a series of mugs with different stylish Bay Area drawings, such as images of the Golden Gate Bridge, and several other scenes from San Francisco depicted along the sides. While these mugs look great, and I collected the whole series, they’re only fair on the functionality department. They keep the heat in more or less okay, but tend to leak a lot if not used with caution.

The travel coffee mug I use the most often is a plain stainless steel cup. While it isn’t much to look at, it is a superior coffee mug. It contains heat like a thermos, and can be turned completely upside down without leaking if properly closed. There are some pretty crazy mugs out there with internal electronic heating systems and some other silly features, but a well made travel coffee mug keeps your drink hot for hours on its own anyway so I think it’s a little excessive. While it’s a neat idea, I don’t really want to have to plug my coffee mug in or charge batteries for it!

That ends the discussion on the travel coffee mug, and now it is for you to decide if we have been doing well in our endeavor to offer you with some meaningful content.

The Impact of Climate Change on Coffee

Climate change is not something new to coffee. It has already hit the coffee farmers hard in a dramatic manner.

Barney Frank talks world economy over coffee in Massachusetts library

Source: www.dailynewstribune.com --- Tuesday, May 19, 2009

It’s a challenging time to be the chairman of the nation’s House Committee on Financial Services. “It can be a little intimidating,” said U.S. Rep. Barney Frank during a meeting with constituents at the Lakeville, Mass., Library over Coffee and doughnuts. But while the economic problems encountered today are as new as the latest BlackBerry, meeting the challenges they pose has historic precedent. “We’re a free market, capitalist society, and that’s the best way to generate wealth,” he said. And the ability to generate wealth evolves over time and can outstrip regulation. The nation’s industrialization in the late 19th century provided huge benefits, but also brought negative side effects. Before there were trusts, there was no need for the anti-trust legislation put forth by Theodore Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson. The stock market evolved in the 20th century and similarly brought huge financial benefits and abuses, as well, that were addressed by Franklin Roosevelt and the creation of the Security and Exchange Commission. Today’s technology enables money to move around the globe with a mouse click and helped enable financial phenomena such as securitization. In the old days, you trooped to your bank or credit union and had to prove you could come through on a 30-year mortgage to a lender who would be taking the risk that you could deliver. With securitization, loans – credit debt and car loans included – are packaged together and ...

Our lake home features oak trim all through the house. So my wife and I decided that we needed to substitute our maple occasional tables with oak coffee tables.

Our maple tables were in good shape. Our neighbor was having a garage sale so we placed our tables on the sale. We did not have room for them in our house if we were going to be buying oak coffee tables. One of the shoppers at the garage sale bought the tables for the price we were asking. We would use this money to help pay for the new oak coffee tables.

The place where we found the oak coffee tables was in the local warehouse. It handles a great deal of furniture and is reasonably priced. The largest section of the warehouse was filled with furniture. The furniture was greatly reduced in price. I found a large selection of oak coffee tables in a variety if shapes and sizes. I thought the style would fit in well with the age of our home, and would compliment the woodwork and existing furniture. I purchased two of the oak coffee tables as well as a matching lamp stand for the living room area. I decided that we could assemble the tables at home. They loaded the tables in my SUV.

By purchasing the tables at the warehouse and doing our own assembly we were able to save a great deal of money.

Home Coffee Roasters for Richer Coffee Beans

If you think that there is nothing more to know about home coffee roasters, do read this commentary and confirm it for yourself. Thousands of articles are present on the net, but if you think of the quality, you would surely be disappointed and that is why we have tried to provide you with quality articles. This one on home coffee roasters is just one such attempt.

The most important stage in processing coffee beans is roasting. The roasting of coffee beans takes place in the temperature range of 370 to 450 degrees for about twenty minutes. This makes them lighter by 18 to 23 %. Their color transforms from light green to medium/dark brown. Moreover, the beans split open and release the rich smell of coffee. Coffee roasting is an art and science that involves experience and the right kind equipment. This is where coffee roasters go into the scene.

Features of Modern Home Coffee Roasters

While ovens have long been used for roasting coffee beans, now modern home coffee roasters make it possible to carry out the roasting process at home without any effort at all. With these devices, you can easily roast up to half a pound of green coffee beans at a time. With their one-touch operation, all you have to do is put green coffee beans into the roaster’s roasting drum. Close the lid and set the roasting level as desired. Your work finishes here. The roaster will automatically complete the rest of the process. After the beans are roasted to the desired level, it will cool the beans, give out the chaff (fine skin that detaches from the beans), and pour the beans into the bean cup. These are ready for use now.

The modern home coffee roasters can be adjusted to a range of roasting levels, at least fifteen different settings, to the users. The resulting coffee beans vary in appearance from a light cinnamon, to medium, or to a dark French roast. The rosters carry an adjustable ventilation system allowing it to vent externally or to a stove/ range hood exhaust.

Modern home coffee roasters are easy to clean. Made of stainless steel, their drum, roasting bean cup, and chaff tray are safe to wash with dishwater.

Care in Using Home Coffee Roasters

One important point of care in using a coffee roaster at home is to place it in a well-ventilated spot or alongside some external vent such as a counter top vent or a stove/range hood exhaust. This is since the roasting machine gives out smoke while roasting the coffee beans. Never leave the room while roasting the coffee, even though the roaster is automatic. In addition, do not clean your roaster too frequently. Lastly, roasting on a porch or near a partly open window is fine but cold temperatures will badly have an effect on the roast.

That ends the debate on home coffee roasters, and now it is for you to come to a decision if we have been successful in our try to provide you with some valuable content on this point.

Good News: You Can Have a Fresh Cup of Coffee Whenever You Desire

A coffee press mug is an invention that originates in France and is also known as a press pot, plunger or cafeteria. The coffee press is used to produce fresh coffee in an instant and here is how it works:

Usually a coffee press is made out of glass and it shaped as a normal coffee mug about the size of 16oz. The magic coffee mug has a round plunger, which is controlled from the top and fits perfectly in the mug. You will place fresh ground coffee in the coffee press then boiling hot water on top of it and with the plunger you will ever so slowly push the coffee all the way down to the bottom of the cup leaving you with a fresh cup of coffee. For those of us who appreciate a good cup of coffee or should I say count on a good cup of coffee to significantly improve their state of mind, mood and spirits, the coffee press is a dream come true.

Disadvantages of the Coffee Press

Yes, even such a wonderful creation such as the coffee press has its disadvantages as well and they are: you will need boiling hot water in order to make a good cup of coffee which at times is not easily accessible.

There are times when the plunger will leave behind some particles of coffee to float around and that can get irritating as well as the coffee made with the coffee press tends to be on the stronger side which is not always a bad thing if you do take pleasure in strong coffee as I do.

There can never be an end to learning. This article about the coffee press mug was just a start to a long voyage. And your accomplishment would depend on how much seriously you take this voyage to be.

The Ceramic Coffee Mug is a Great Memento

If you are surfing the net for information about the ceramic coffee mug, this article is what you must have been searching for. If you don't believe us, just read the article for yourself.

The ceramic coffee mug is a daily staple that can be established in any kitchen. The mugs come in all shapes, sizes and styles and some folks even have collections of mugs from different places they’ve traveled or events they’ve participated in. A ceramic coffee mug makes a great memento for weddings or other special events, and can serve as a fantastic souvenir from a trip. The thing that makes a coffee mug a great keepsake is that it also can be used as a useful daily item.

Years ago you could visit a kiosk in the mall and have a mug custom made and personalized with a picture or a special saying. The kiosks surely still exist for the technophobes among us, but now you don’t even have to go through the effort of getting into your car and going to the shopping mall to create a unique personalized mug. As long as you have an internet connection and the ability to upload pictures from your hard drive, you can have a ceramic coffee mug personalized from the comfort of your own home in any color or style you like. The best personalized mug I’ve seen in someone’s kitchen was a mug with a picture of a baby eating chocolate cake with his hands, and the only way you could tell there was a baby in the picture was by the outline of his head and the whites of his eyes—the only things in the picture not covered in frosting.

In the beginning we claimed that we have tried to provide our readers something different about the ceramic coffee mug and now when you are reading this article, do you think we were right in our claim or not.

Personalizing a ceramic coffee mug is also an inexpensive way to advertise your business. Most people have a collection of mismatched coffee mugs in their kitchen cabinets and what better way to get your message across than to have your business logo in your customer’s face every morning as they drink their coffee. To see the everyday item used as a marketing tool, witness the sheer volume of items like pens and pads of paper floating around in the world with the name of a prescription drug engraved on its surface. Pharmaceutical companies make millions in profit every year and could afford to advertise on the sides of buildings if they chose. But they know the secret to marketing, and that is you want to get your message in front of as many eyes as you can. This becomes easy with engraving your message on everyday items we all use.

There is nothing like the final point in anything and when you are reading this article on the ceramic coffee mugyou must have understood this very well. There is nothing like ultimate in any field and this article on the ceramic coffee mug must have shown you that.

The one apparent problem with the ceramic coffee mug is that since it is made of ceramic, it can be fragile and vulnerable to chipping, particularly after being heated in a microwave or dishwasher. A good quality ceramic coffee mug is fired and finished and will not simply break, but when exposed to extreme heat or cold will become less resistant to breaking. Another disadvantage to the ceramic coffee mug is that it is not portable for travel. When drinking coffee on the go, individuals will typically opt for drinking their coffee or tea out of a plastic container with a sealed lid or a disposable cup from a coffee shop.

We wanted to supply our readers with prolific and new content on the ceramic coffee mug and hopefully we have been able to accomplish that with this article.

Brewing Profits in the Coffee Restaurant Industry

This topic coffee restaurant industry is not an ambiguous one but we have tried to assemble some fundamental points about this theme in this editorial. There is so much lack of time for all of us that we cannot lose time reading something that ends up being meaningless. We would have to pick our readings and that is why you should read this commentary about the coffee restaurant industry which would help you get valuable insight into this subject matter.

Hot coffee is brewing all over America! That is, coffee diner shops are abundant in almost every area in different streets. It’s as if folks are leaving their own homes to drink their favorite mocha or cappuccino in one of these restaurants. As a matter of fact, an everyday coffee drinker will essentially consume abundant cups on a on a daily basis basis, which sums up to millions and millions of coffee cups within 24 hours.

Coffee is such demand that many entrepreneurs are setting their eyes on running their own coffee restaurant business. But just when you think that it’s all about the brew, donuts, and perhaps a good book, think again because truthfully, there’s more than what meets your business mind.

To be able to compete in the coffee restaurant industry, you need to develop dynamic marketing strategies. The initial and perhaps the most important step is to identify your target market and build your identity from it. If you want to cater to students and young professionals, a more urban- and younger-sounding brand name will do. Of course, there’s the logo and maybe a catchphrase that will further enhance the probability of your being recognized.

One marketing tool that is often taken for granted is the word of mouth. Research shows that out of five customers, four of them are likely to favor a restaurant they haven’t patronized yet simply because of their friends’ or families’ suggestions. So as a coffee shop, you can dazzle your present customers with the widest array of coffee and other beverage choices, the tastiest pastries to go with them, and the most excellent customer service they could experience. Without a doubt, patrons will double or even triple in a very short while. You can also take advantage of other marketing media like newspapers, brochures, radio, and TV advertisements, though they can be costly.

Partnerships with other related businesses may well boost your café and will create diversity that your customers will surely love and look forward to. You can make your own book club, for example, knowing what a perfect combination a drink such as coffee and must-read literature can be.

In particular, all your marketing methods should be client-based. One of the most resourceful techniques is survey. Their opinions, suggestions, and comments can help you improve your service and the overall operations of your business so you can be more marketable and competitive.

To be sure, the coffee restaurant industry is meant to last longer than what most individuals might have expected. Well, what could beat good marketing strategies and brewed coffee?

If you have read this article and felt that this whole assignment was productive, our hard work has been fulfilled for the reason that this is what we set out to do.

The Age of the Automatic Coffee Makers

If you want to get information about automatic coffee makers, do go on reading this piece of writing. We have tried to congregate all the pertinent information for you. It is our genuine hope that you find all that you wanted about automatic coffee makers in the subsequent article. Just savor the information given and make use of it.

At about the time that a bit of technology becomes so commonplace that we tend to take it for granted; you can bet that whatever technology it is has changed society. Think about how different the world would be with no elevators (no tall buildings), indoor plumbing (no cities), or cars (no life as we know it). Welcome to the age of the automatic coffee makers. By automatic coffee makers, I mean the omnipresent drip machines found in most residences. If you think they haven’t changed the world, think again.

Drip, Drip, Drip

Before the drip automatic coffee makers became affordable and available, most coffee was made at home using a percolator. If you’re too young to remember those coffee pots, then you don’t realize how lucky you are. The old coffee pots came in several pieces: the outside pot that held the water and sat on the stove, the basket with holes that sat above the water and held the ground coffee and the piece that fit inside the pot with a hollow stem-like structure to support the coffee basket. There was also a tight-fitting lid with a glass tube on top to show the coffee squirting up. The coffee was prepared by boiling the water causing pressure to build and force the hot water up through the grounds in the basket and then back down. The process occurred over and over until the stove top pot was removed or the electric percolator reached the end of the timed period. Either way, repeated exposure of the hot water to the grounds often resulted in bitterness and keeping a pot of coffee warm usually broke down the taste.

The automatic coffee makers of nowadays use a drip method in which the water is heated in one compartment then filtered through the finer coffee grounds once before gravity forces it into the pot below. The first, most obvious change is that good-tasting coffee is prepared in no time without having to resort to trial and error to find the right heat and time and without remembering to remove a percolating pot from the flame before it burns. As coffee is no longer one-size fits all, there are more varieties of coffee obtainable. Because more persons take pleasure in more coffee, there are many more knowledgeable admirers. Given that the automatic coffee makers need a finer grind which can become stale more easily, home coffee grinders and fresh whole beans are all over the place. In view of the fact that coffee no longer burns on the stove, microwave popcorn was developed as a substitute for horrible smell for home and office. This is truly the age of the automatic coffee makers. Pull up a chair and enjoy.

Life is not just about tips and tricks. What we have done is to offer you with a start about the world of automatic coffee makers. It is now for you to find for yourself what more you want to know about them.
