Save Cash with a Stainless Steel Coffee Filter

A new coffee pot is like a small version of a new sports car for coffee admirers. Those who like to select and grind their own coffee beans usually are meticulous about how their coffee is brewed. A Proctor Silex or basic Mr. Coffee coffee maker just won’t cut it. They want a fashionable coffee maker, perhaps something manufactured in Europe, and they want the best since they believe that the best coffee maker makes the best coffee. This may not necessarily be true.

The Value of the Coffee Filter

There are numerous factors that have an effect on the quality of a cup of coffee. The kind of coffee bean used, the concentration of the grind, the quality of the water used to brew the coffee, the temperature at which it is brewed and kept are just a few of the explanatory factors. Another one to mull over is the kind of coffee filter used. For most folks, a plain paper filter is sufficient. Some may even use a paper towel or a napkin in a pinch. Does it actually matter, they may ask. The answer is a loud yes. Too often, a potentially good cup of coffee is messed up because of an absorbent or non-porous paper coffee filter.

The answer is to use a stainless steel coffee filter. This kind of filter has countless advantages over the paper coffee filter. To start with, it is re-usable. Do not, I repeat, do not try to recycle a paper filter. That is a recipe for disaster – unless you like grounds in your coffee. The stainless steel coffee filter can be used, rinsed out, and used again. An occasional washing with a light dish soap and very careful rinsing is the only maintenance required for years of consistently quality coffee. Think of all the cash and time saved by not having to buy and load up a paper coffee filter for every pot of coffee you brew.

I pointed out reliability and that is what you get with a stainless steel coffee filter. The steel mesh is porous enough to let perfect brewing and it never fails. It makes the same pot of coffee every time as long as the grounds are the same.

Heavy Metal Coffee?

Some folks might ask if the stainless steel coffee filter has an effect on the taste of the coffee by giving it a metallic taste. This might seem possible, but it purely is not the case. The steel causes no left over flavor effects to your coffee. You get a consistently good cup of coffee every time and that is the most important thing to a real coffee aficionado.

As a consequence, we have seen some of the basic concepts of the stainless steel coffee filter, and have seen the probable benefits of it.

World's Best Coffee Fudge Brownies Recipe

Source: chocolate.cdkitchen.com --- Wednesday, April 22, 2009
Put the butter in the top of a double boiler and begin to melt it over barely simmering water. As butter starts to melt, add the chocolate, spreading it evenly rather than dumping it in one big pile. Leave the mixture over the heat for about 5 minutes, until melted, then stir to smooth. Transfer the top of the double boiler to a cooling rack and stir in the ground Coffee and Kahlua. Cool for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly butter a 9- by 9-inch cake pan and dust it with flour, knocking out the excess. (Do not use a smaller pan.) Set aside. Combine the sugars in a large mixing bowl. Rub with fingers to break up any lumps. Add the eggs. Using an electric mixer, beat on medium-high speed for about 30 seconds, until well blended. Blend in the vanilla. Add the melted chocolate and blend on medium speed just until evenly mixed. Sift the flour and salt into a medium bowl. Stir it into the chocolate mixture, about half at a time, until evenly mixed and no dry streaks remain. Stir in the nuts. Scrape the batter into the prepared pan and smooth with a spoon. Bake the brownies on the center oven rack for 30 to 35 minutes. When done, the brownies will have risen somewhat and will have a thin, brittle top crust. A toothpick, inserted at the center, should emerge with a little batter attached. Try not to over bake. Transfer the brownies to a cooling rack and cool thoroughly. ...

Shopping for a Glass Coffee Table

Furniture shopping is never simple. For a piece of furniture that would not only be stylish but useful as well, one should look into buying a glass coffee table.

There was never a greater pain in my neck than picking out a glass coffee table with my wife. For a home that has a modern European feel to it, the Pablo Rectangular glass coffee table is an outstanding choice. This glass coffee table comes with two large drawers with smooth metal glides that are perfect for storing a variety of different things. The top of the table is a raised and beveled glass top, which allows for easy access from the comfort of a close by couch or chair.

For those who have a home that is modern, yet simple in design, the Adesso Atom Round Tempered Glass Coffee Table is an exclusive choice. This table comes with oval shaped paper clip legs, tempered glass, and satin steel frames.

Even though all glass coffee tables have been specially treated so that the glass can take a good bit of wear, these kinds of tables are better for homes in which young children do not reside. It is also important to note that regular window cleaners like Windex are not always the best choice for cleaning glass coffee tables, as they can often leave a residue. Glass coffee tables can usually be found at a local furniture store, or via the internet. Regardless of the price, a glass coffee table is gorgeous, and a magnificently stylish addition to one’s home.

Classic glass coffee tables are surrounded by brass. When the brass-accented coffee table is added to a room the room reflects a wonderful glow.

We went to literally a dozen stores which sold glass coffee tables, but could not agree on a single one. When I look for a glass coffee table, I want simple, inexpensive lines, an elegant and functional design, and a size perfect for the center of our living room.

Today, just about anyone can own a glass coffee table. A glass coffee table communicates elegance and style with an affordable price tag. We finally chose a coffee table that met our needs.

The glass coffee table can easily ease into any room without taking away from the general feel of the design. The understated nature of the table is refined and is never overwhelming. A glass coffee table goes anywhere.

I was very attached to my glass coffee table that was passed down to me by my parents. Toddlers and glass simply don’t mix. At first I tried to use regular parental tactics like the booming “NO” every time my toddler approached the glass coffee table. I also tried putting a bumper around the table. My beloved glass coffee table will have to wait until my toddler is a good little girl.
